Solfege in the Muzoracle
While most of us are familiar with do, re, mi, fa, so, la, and ti, the chromatic solfege is a bit hazy for some. Actually, there's some variation in the world at large as to which syllables equate with which notes -- below is the enitre solfege as used in the Muzoracle system. The pronounciation is Italian. DO (doh): The root, or an octave or unison in relation to the root. RA (rah): A Minor Second in the key of do. RE (ray): A Major Second in the key of do. ME (may): A Minor Third in the key of do. MI (mee): A Major Third in the key of do. FA (fah): A Perfect Fourth in the key of do. SE (say): A Tritone in the key of do. SO (soh): A Perfect Fifth in the key of do. LE (lay): A Minor Sixth in the key of do. LA (lah): A Major Sixth in the key of do. TE (tay): A Minor Seventh in the key of do. TI (tee): A Major Seventh in the key of do. |
